Setting up Frontline International’s popular box system for dispensing standard packaged oil to fill your fryers just got easier. The company has introduced a reengineered system—now called EZ Oil™—that includes an integral pump to draw the fresh cooking oil from the storage rack to the fryer. Previously, an external pump was mounted near the rack system. EZ Oil is automatic, hands-free, and now easier than ever to set up.

Frontline’s EZ Oil dispensing system allows foodservice operators to stack fresh oil boxes on a space-saving storage rack, which is plumbed to the fryers. With the new integral pump, this easy-to-install, easy-to-use oil management solution can be installed in as little as 30 minutes. 

Frontline’s EZ Oil dispensing system is designed to accommodate the boxed oil purchased from any vendor. The upside-down storage system ensures that every drop of oil is drained, increasing oil yields by up to 10%. The storage rack utilizes the same footprint as the typical foodservice establishment’s storage area for boxed oil. The boxed oil is connected directly to one or even multiple fryers simultaneously and, with the push of a button, oil flows from the boxes on the rack to the fryers, improving workplace safety because hands and floors are kept clean and grease free.

Frontline International Filtering Caddy System Increases Value, Life of Oil

Frontline International, a leading provider of Smart Oil Management™ systems for foodservice operators to better control their fresh and waste oil value, offers a standalone oil filtration unit that can extend the life of your cooking oil.

Frontline’s filtration unit is part of a wheeled Caddy System that is ideal for fryers that lack built-in filtration. With this unit, you simply wheel the caddy to your fryers and run the oil through the filter, extending the life and quality of the oil, and maintaining consistent food quality for longer time periods. Frontline offers two filter media types – disposable paper media and reusable stainless steel filter media. Frontline representatives can help advise which is recommended for your operation, based on the type and frequency of food you fry. Filtered, cleaner oil then goes back into the fryers, increasing the quality and life of the oil, positively affecting profitability.

The Caddy System, of which the filtering system is a part, is also ideal either for fryers that cannot be directly plumbed to a waste oil containment tank or for operators hoping to inexpensively begin to more safely port oil from fryer to a containment vessel. With the Caddy System, waste cooking oil is filtered into the stainless steel transport caddy, which is wheeled to a remote pump station. The oil is then pumped into your containment tank for storage and eventual collection. The Heated Grill Grease System allows you to collect your grill grease throughout the day then pump it into any of Frontline’s waste-containment tanks. Solids are filtered via the extra-large sediment basket, preserving the high quality of your oil while protecting the integrity of the equipment’s pump and motor.

Operation is easy: simply drain used grease into the caddy, close the caddy lid, and secure the lid with the safety latch. When the caddy is plugged into a live outlet, the heating element keeps the grease in its liquid state, preventing coagulation. When the caddy is near full—or at scheduled intervals when the grill is less busy—carefully pull the caddy to the Frontline used-oil storage tank (or pumping station) and easily pump the waste grease into the tank.

The drive for sustainability in restaurant operations has, in turn, driven the search to find the best ways of handling waste cooking oil. Selling properly prepared waste oil for the manufacture of biodiesel is one of them.
